North Dakota Renaissance Festival
An annual festival with a devoted following and an information problem.
The problem
A festival lives or dies on logistics people can find: dates, gates, tickets, parking, what to bring, what's on when.
Every one of those questions was arriving by message instead of being answered on the site.
What we did
We're rebuilding the site around the visitor's timeline — deciding, planning, arriving, attending — so the answer to each question sits where it's actually asked.
The design keeps the character of the event without letting atmosphere get in the way of a family trying to work out when to leave the house.
The result
In build. The goal is a site that carries the festival's personality and still answers the practical questions before anyone has to ask them.
